◆Introduction
　 Our school, located at the north part of Putzu city in Chia-Yi county and just next to SuanTao、DaQiao and LiuJiao, is about 3 kilometers northwest of the Chia-Yi County Hall. The Suan Tao Sugerhouse is on the east; Putzu creek runs through Shuang Xi village and flows towards sea on the west.
　 Our school was originally Shuang Xi campus, Putzu Elementary School. Then, it became an independent Shuang Xi Elementary School on 1958, a fifty-year-old school.


◆History
1. Our school was founded to have a few classes in Shung Xi village which belonged to 　Putzu Elementary School, on September, 1949.
2. Our school became Shuang Xi campus, Putzu Elementary School on September, 1950.
3. Our school was changed to be a completely independent Shuang Xi School on 　September, 1958.
4. Because of extending primary education, our school name was changed to be Shuang 　Xi Elementary School on September, 1968.
5. Zili kindergarten on Shunag Xi campus was founded on February, 1988.
6. Zili kindergarten changed its name to be Shunag Xi kindergarten on August, 1989.
7. Since Putzu became a city by law on 1992, then our school name is Xi Elementary 　School, Putzu City now.
8. After finishing construction of DaHua building, the front three-floor-building on the east 　which had 12 classrooms, was closed on 1998 because of its possible danger. After a 　few years, those classrooms were demolished on September 18th, 2003.

◆Urging students to know how to utilize library and further cultivating their self-learning ability.
1.Establishing a learning resource center in which students could be easily to find valuable 　information very quickly by using internet and changing the theme shown on bulletin 　board.
2.A novel form for students’writing journal based on their reading material is provided, 　through which may inspire students’learning interest. Furthermore, setting up a 　system, given a title of little bachelor, little master, or little doctor based on the amount 　of books they read, in order to encourage students to read more.

◆Strengthening to beautify campus in order to became a lasting green beautiful ecological environment.
1.Using space efficiently with some particular knowledgeable topics such as aquatic plant 　area, small-size zoo and an exhibition of butterflies on campus, and planting widely 　with its own name sign in order to prompt students to get more knowledge about plant.
2.Implementing recycling education、composting kitchen waste and taking well care of 　plants on campus in order to make students experience the happiness of life growing.
3.Setting the learning bulletin on particular subjects focusing on potential lessons that may 　cultivate students’ aesthetic feeling and civilization.

◆With the purpose of making students have a ability to create optimistically and positive life attitude, a well-balanced development between virtue, intelligence, physical education, cooperation, and art are implemented.
1.A speech and deacon will be on every Thursday and Tuesday. Every student has its 　chance, thus, s/he has to prepare the speaking context in advance. Besides, there is a 　different topic on particular subjects every month with aim of educating students’ 　creativeness and initiative.
2.In order to improve students’ competitive advantage, a one-hour tutorial after school is 　carrying into effect.
3.We have two adult classes at night for diminishing illiteracy and reinforcing social 　education.
4.Enhancing Computer science and English teaching is our main focus. Also, there is an 　art exhibition in the hallway on second floor.
5.We emphasize the learning of well behavior and attitude in our kindergarten education.

◆Boosting diverse associations and developing our school features
1.We conduct the activities aiming to shorten the difference between urban and rural; 　meanwhile fulfilling timely the field work is our focus as well.
2.We advocate the concept of physical education by practicing the tug of war and 　taekwondo.
3.We advocate the learning of drums, taekwondo, and art. Also, our orchestra won a great 　prize in the contest.j6hji4

◆Bringing our educational love, cooperation, and diligence into fully play. Moral education is our focus too.
1.Staff and students have lunch together through which students could develop a good 　behavior.
2.We do care students’ health, thus and won a good prize of introducing the concept of 　eyesight on 2003.The rank of our kindergarten is extremely great.We got a second in 　the contest of how well students clean their teeth.We got a second in the contest of how 　well students clean their teeth.
3.Not only the way our teachers act but also the way they teach gains appreciation from 　students’ parents.
